Wat een mooie plek. Veel flora en fauna. Huisje binnen sober, maar schoon. Lieve en behulpzame eigenaren en personeel. De eigenaresse kookt voor je als je daar dineert en het is heerlijk!

Er is geen zwembad, maar dat kun je voor die prijs ook niet verwachten. Voor 200 baht kun je gebruik maken van de faciliteiten van een 5 sterren resort iets verderop (mocht je behoefte hebben aan een dagje relaxen en zwemmen).

El acogimiento de Diu fue excepcional. Hotel sencillo pero súper acogedor con un jardín precioso. El bungalow estaba súper limpio y en orden. El servicio excelente. En general es un sitio mas alejado y tranquilo que el resto de hoteles pero muy bien situado respecto de la zona arqueológica. La atención fue excelente. Estancia muy recomendable

The resort was very peaceful and surrounded by nature. Everything is perfect and the staff is super. They helped us with all our needs, provided us with a couple of bikes to tour the city with and prepared the best meals. Special mention for Panda, the mascotte of the resort. She's a super cute dog that welcomes you upon arrival and guides you around the place. Make sure you cuddle her, please!

J’ai eu un vrai coup de cœur pour ce lieu magnifique, paisible, facile en vélo du parc historique. Diu qui m’a accueillie, a été aux petits soins tout le séjour et donnée des conseils sympa pour mon séjour à Sukhothaï. Franchement, c’était top.

Happiness Resort is an enchanting place, with its collection of beautiful and charming wooden bungalows along a path that is beautifully kept and makes up a colourful and luxuriant garden. Dew and Andreas are incredibly welcoming and helpful, and pay attention to every detail. We hired bikes for 80TBH for the whole day, which made riding around the entire historic centre a great pleasure. Happiness Resort is perfectly located to visit historic Sukhothai. Andreas gave us perfect recommendations for a scenic circuit. The bungalow was impeccable, clean, comfortable, cosy, and charming. The only negative thing about our stay is that we stayed only one night! I would be happy staying a week or more! We were made to feel at home.

1. Payment: Cash payment only is accepted — credit cards are not possible. The owner should inform guests about this clearly in advance, as there are very few money exchange options in town. Since the cash have to pay to the owner, It took us over 3 hours to arrange enough cash for the rest of our days, which was quite inconvenient. 2. Bathroom design: The bathroom is poorly designed — it is very difficult to keep clothes dry while showering. In addition, the electric water heater works but is leaking water, and part of the faucet is missing. 3. Meals: Dinner and breakfast are quite expensive for what is offered. Even bottled water is charged at 25 baht. For two adults and one child, we spent about 1,000 baht on meals (dinner and breakfast) that was just average. 4. Facilities: There is no water dispenser available in the common areas. 5. Room amenities: There was no hairdryer or water kettle in our room — we had to ask for them. This is surprising for a hotel with such a high rating. 6. Trust in reviews: I used to trust Booking’s rating system, but after this experience, I will be more cautious in the future.

The bungalows were clean and tidy in a great location surrounded by well kept vegetation. The owner was kind and friendly and prepared tasty breakfasts for us. The place is a short car/scooter ride away from the main action of Sukhothai which was great for us as we had our own vehicle.

The AC was very loud which affected our sleep (even through earplugs) and the units need repairing or replacing. The pillows were also very hard which we are not used to. None of us slept very well as a result.

We loved Happiness Resort! The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. My kids absolutely adored Panda the dog and they miss him already. It is a truly beautiful place to stay, very lush and clean.
