Studio Wijkhuizen

Heating system was half turned off when I arrived. After I turned them on to max I barely felt a difference.

I booked the very expencive apartment for six days because of the location. With access to a washing-machine, among all announced equipment. On the webbsite, NO LIMIT TIME for useing the washing-machine WAS MENTIONED! In reality, the host rather not, let the guest use the washing-machine.

1. The Day before arrival, I had to remind the host three Times, to mail the code for the key. I got the code very late in the evening. 2. At arrival, after a long tiring Journey, the door-lock was very difficult to open, so I hade to call the host. I couldn't reach him at first. He was aggressive from the start. 3. When he noticed that I was useing the washing-machine, (placed in a corridor) for a short time, the first two days, he got furious and forbid me to use the washing-machine every day. Yelling at me, that I could perhabs use the washing-machine after three days. He couldn't understand that most People wash their clothes every Day. I didn't want to argue with him, because you don't know how violent he may be! I was shocked by the total disrespect for a senior guest! (75+). Noting: Most guests are staying at the studios for one, at the most two days. I stayed for six days!

I found the studio exceptional. It is very clean and comfortable with good basic cooking facilities. The location so close to the station, the sea and the town centre makes it perfect for travellers using the train. The balcony is large and well-equipped with a great view of the street scene. I didn't meet the owner but his messages were very clear, timely and helpful. Check-in/out using a key safe is extremely straightforward and convenient. Plenty of interesting places to visit in the immediate and surrounding area, including Haarlem and a National Park. A great experience!

Everything was perfect!

Fabulous location, near beach and train station (terminus to half-hourly train to Amsterdam). Cute, complete, quiet accommodations.

This was my second time stayed here. The room was very nice, clean, perfectly equipped. Next year I Will definetely coming back!

fantastic hosts with great communication, comfortable room.

Noise/location. Pretty much heard every conversation and every bus arrival when i was home (there was trackwork so a lot of buses and construction, so owners not at fault).
