GBWe really enjoyed our time in Kuching and stay at Lima Tujoh. The property is perfectly situated just away from the centre and host Richard was really helpful with suggestions on how best to maximize our time. Semenggoh is only a 30 minute taxi ride and Bako National Park a 1 ringit bus trip away. There are several museums of interest nearby and the waterfront, with all its illumination, is a wonderful evenings sojourn after a glorious sunset. Places to eat? Plentiful, diverse and delicious!
Not having enough time!
SGIt's a very nicely situated hotel, with basic but clean and comfortable rooms. The design has some character, and does feel like someone really cares. There's a very nice restaurant downstairs that serves middle eastern food. The owners are super friendly and the food is good too.
Walls are thin, therefore you can hear your neighbours, but the area is very quiet.

FRGood value for money and strategically located near the waterfront. Old house, probably a 100yo (but renovated!). Small terrasse at the back to have breakfast, kettle and coffee available inside the room. Café downstairs (same name but seems to be different owner). I recommend Indah café down the street for breakfast (vegetarian and vegan option). They also arrange day trips around Kuching!
The room hadn't been cleaned before our arrival (due to late check out of previous guests). We had to reach out to the owner on WhatsApp and cleaning was arrange while we were out. Still a big bummer. The staircase in the room (duplex) is ridiculously tiny and steep, I do not recommend with kids. It's a old house which means poor soundproofing, whether it's other guests in the corridor (luckily it was rather quiet during our stay), or the music from the café downstairs blasting though the wooden floor (from zen instrumental to pop music).
PLthe room exceeded my expectations, perfect place, close to everything. room very clean and comfortable. great price. delicious food right next to the hotel wonderful owner, I wish I met more people like him in my life :)
