- spacious clean room, comfortable bed, only cold shower, very quiet - lovely family, espacially the lady is very friendly, kids are cute - typical Sri lankan breakfast for a fair price and it was possible to have dinner there which was very nice

- We didn't really like the location because it was quite far out of town - Disclaimer for people who are afraid of dogs: there are many dogs in the area who bark a lot but don't do anything - As mentioned in a lot of previous reviews, the host can come across a bit annoying and pressuring. He will offer you a lot of his services so if you don't want any of those you have to say that really clearly.

Awesome place, really clean, the staff is really polite and kind

The room was huge, clean and nicely decorated. There was lots of space to put our bags and places to hang clothes. The location was really interesting, situated in the jungle so there is a lot of wildlife to see. The breakfast was very nice, prepared by the owner's wife. It was very tasty and filling.

The owner was a bit overbearing trying to get us to book tours with him. I appreciate when hosts give their suggestions and recommendations but not when they try and control your plans. Great stay otherwise!

Tucked away up a track off the main road yet only 10 minutes easy walk to the Lion Rock entrance and a further 10/15 to Pidrangula rock. For info there is an ATM at the Lion Rock entrance. Spacious clean room with kettle and outside terrace. Very comfortable bed and good shower. Our female host was friendly and welcoming and brought us juice and prepared a good breakfast the next morning. Thank you

We are experienced independent travellers in our sixties and like to walk to places or take local buses. We also like privacy and to decide what we want to do when we want to do it. We found our male host to be intrusive with his questions of what services he could provide for us before we even got there and relentlessly whilst we were there. He even messaged me to ask where we were when we were out. I understand that some people like to be taken around in tuk tuks and taxis so that is why the reviews say how helpful he was. We found him quite aggressive when we declined his offers of a very expensive taxi to our next place or any of his other add ons , and he stood over us whilst we ate breakfast firing questions at us and saying he needed to talk to us about a plan. When OUR plan did not involve him making any money out of us, he went off in a sulk.But his wife was lovely to us from start to finish.

We had the most incredible stay! The host Amila was beautiful and went out of he way to make us feel at Hotel. The food was incredible, we stayed for breakfast and lunch every day. he was also very knowledgeable about the local sites (lions rock, Pidurangala rock and the safaris) and ensured we were getting the best price possible! Thank you!

· This has been our favorite stay so far! The location is the absolute best if you are hoping to hike up Pidurangala and Sigiriya Rock. The bed was comfortable, the showers had , the food was delish and the ladies who own and run this place are the sweetest and most incredible. he was our Sri Lankan friend and took such good care of us. Amazing food and great recommendations! You can just tell how much love and passion they have put into everything. Wish we could have stayed longer.

· The owner – Amila welcomed us and made our stay exceptionally wonderful. he was very caring and gave us delicious meals. he gave us instructions on how to go to hike the Pidurangala rock and Sigiriya Rock She helped us arrange transportation to Kandy and always checked up on us. The place is surrounded by nature and with amazing scenery with beautiful garden. The place is clean. The room and bathroom was spacious with AC,and Wifi. During the day the , and besides we were out all day for different activities. We would love to go back again.
