Victory Villa Sigiriya

Beautiful place. Rooms are like from another place, so clean, new, and comfortable. Totally recommend this place.

The cottages are beautiful, well appointed and spotlessly clean and the family is lovely and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and now did then we could possibly eat When we left something behind they went out of their way to bring it to us.. A rare place where the pictures don't do it justice! I highly recommend

The only thing you need to know is that it's a bit out of the way but if you can rent a scooter or tuk tuk it's well worth being a bit out of the busy area

The villa was beautiful, clean and the location was great.

Be aware that the owner is very pushy on additional bookings with him. Advice; take some time before agreeing to any plans as we felt very pressured and uncomfortable.

The location was Nice and cozy i bit like a village. The host wife makes the food and it taste very Nice. The Rooms are Big Nice and cozy:)

Nice cottage in the forest near the Lion Rock. Beautiful family that runs the place. They show us around with the jeep for two days. Good dinner and breakfast at a fair price.

It’s a family owned hotel, with amazing food, rooms and service. Amila seems to bring the community together to make plans happen. He helped us organise everything we wanted to do, seamlessly; he gave us recommendations, arranged transport, safari, food, tours, etc. He drove us twice at 5 am to see the sunrise from the rocks. The rooms are beautiful and clean. The home cooked food, delicious. The service friendly and very well organised.

The room was far above the quality of similar priced ones in Sri Lanka. It even had a hair dryer, comb, tea and instant coffee provided. Everything was clean, looked comfortable and was near to the Lion Rock (15min walking distance to entrance). A few reviews mentioned that the host was a bit too keen on selling tours, this was not the case for us. He was really friendly and did not pressure us into anything, instead he even helped us get to the local bus (instead of booking a taxi with him). Another positive point is the breakfast, because while you often get good food in Sri Lanka, often it feels like you get the same breakfast (omelette, fruits, toast,..). At this place we got something that was more Sri Lankan and really delicious (some rotti, some hoppers and something else I do not know the name of, plus fruits, toast, an egg, tea and water). The hosts wife provided us with some juice free of charge when we waited for a tuk tuk.

While the location is great for visiting the Lion Rock, it is a little bit out of town. (You can not have both though!)
