The Bay House

A small, family-run guesthouse with just a couple of rooms — very cozy and intimate. It’s literally a one-minute walk to the ocean, with an ATM, cafés, and restaurants nearby, yet the house itself is tucked away from the noise. The location is truly excellent. The room is clean and has everything you need: air conditioning, a mini fridge, and even a minibar. A special mention goes to Rashmi, the host. She is incredibly warm and welcoming, always ready to help. She also makes delicious coffee and omelets — a small but lovely touch :) I stayed here for 11 days and was very happy with my experience. It’s a simple, family-style place with a genuinely warm atmosphere — somewhere you enjoy coming back to. I’m leaving with a lot of gratitude.

Rashmi is a wonderful hostess, very communicative and well organised. The room is compact with everything you need. The accommodation is so close to beach and all the surf spots. Would highly recommend:)

Highest standard for the price, there's nothing like them. Everything so professional, clean, taken care, seriously... Also they were so kind... And the best is that you're 5 metre away from a good cheap restaurant, and 2 minutes walk from the best surfing spot for beginners and so called intermediates.

It could get a bit noisy, but as noisy as anywhere else around Weligama. But with earplugs I slept like a baby.

Everything! The location, price, hosts, cleanliness, breakfast (yes! Getting a vegetarian meal is difficult when travelling but Rashami was very accommodating and understanding, she provided us with vegetarian food)

Cama cómoda y todo muy limpio. Desayuno fabuloso y la atención inmejorable, toda la familia es muy muy amable! A 2 minutos de la playa, no se oye apenas ruido y con el aire acondicionado se duerme genial. Ibamos para 2 días y acabamos ampliando la reserva.

Por poner un pero, la habitación de arriba es un poco pequeña para 2 personas con el equipaje.
