The Bay House

You feel like you've come to visit your grandparents :) Safe for solo traveling girls. Great location, can't hear the train. 1 minute to the beach. You can order breakfast or dinner. Or water in the evening when you don't want to go to the store. Wi-Fi is better than in many places I lived in Weligama.

Insects. But I've bought an anti-insect spray and they bothered me much less.

Friendly family hosting, very close to the ocean and to the town, cozy room, the beach is sandy and the bay is good both for surf and simple beach rest.

the location very close to the beach you can wake up and go directly to surf, the breakfast the AC and the Wifi were very good the Family were super nice with us

it needs some privacy .. the hot water doesn’t have much pressure but the cold water is good if the weather is hot

I really enjoyed my stay at The Bay House! The room was spacious, comfortable and clean, I loved the cozy balcony and waking up to the birds singing <3 If you stay here, you absolutely have to try the homemade breakfast, there are many options, it's a chance try the real Sri Lankan food. The location is perfect if you come to Weligama for surfing, as it's just 5 minutes walking to the surfing spot. The family who runs the guesthouse are some of the most welcoming and kind people I met, and the woman who receives the guests speaks really good english, so the communication was excellent at all times. Plus, you can ask for the laundry service if you need to wash your clothes. Excellent, super recommended. Thank you for making me feel at home :)

Incredibly close to the beach and surfspots. Very nice and chill family. Everything is available for cheap price. Amazing value for money

Wonderful hosts - nothing was too much trouble. Peaceful village atmosphere and so close to the beach! Lovely garden. I would stay here again for sure

Location was very good. Quiet but still close to weligama, surfspot, restaurants, supermarket and beach. The place is very clean and you can sit outside in the garden to relax . You can go to the beach without going to the big road. The people are also friendly and you can reach them whenever you need something. They also make fresh breakfast with coffee or thee ( you can choose on a menu) and lunch or dinner. Very tasty and fresh. The food is fair price 😀 The room is big, good bed, good airco and fast wifi/ internet Perfect place 👌
