The Victoria House

On the way from the Garden Route to Lesotho we decided to stay in Ficksburg before crossing the border. This is a very nice place to stay with two great hosts. A historic house with many rooms and corners with the majority of the rooms being in another building in the yard. Researching Ficksburg before we arrived we figured out that there are few options for dinner. So we were pleasantly surprised to learn that the hosts offer dinner too. And not having to drive after a long day on the road was very nice. The dinner was absolutely delicious ans was breakfast. And we also got lots of information for the border crossing and Lesotho.

Beautiful guesthouse and garden with hosts that welcomed us graciously. We truly enjoyed the 3 course dinner served, with a delicious vegetarian option for one of us. Breakfast was also top notch. We slept well as the area is tranquil and quiet.
