Too many flies

I would really recommend this place to stay, the service was amazing, we had breakfast brought to our room every morning, and on the first night the owner took us to a restaurant and picked us up free of charge as we weren’t able to hire bikes. She also booked us a tour guide to go up mount batur which is a must do. The location is perfect for the climb and the guide she hired was amazing. The place was extremely clean and such a perfect stay for anyone travelling alone with or friends.

There’s lots of flies in the area but this is no fault of the place itself just bring bug spray

We loved the surroundings, the majestic Mt Batur towering over us and the sunrise trek organized by our hostess, who, btw seems to control the weather... 😜 as we've attempted it during rainy season, and there was not a clound in the sky when we set off at 0330. After this awe inspiring experience she fed us and drove us for a well deserved soak in hot springs at Toya Devasaya.

Nothing. It was perfect

The staff was helpful, the owner organized a sunrise trekking tour starting from the apartment. (started at 3:30 am) The tour was adventurous, although we didn't see the sunrise, because the weather was so cloudy. We finished it at 8 am. The healing bath near the lake is nice (Mount Batur Trek And Natural Hot Spring Toya bungkah), although it's not cheap.

The rooms are noisy, You can hear the others from the other bungalows, and the noise of the road as well. But what is annoying is independent of the property: there are lots of flies, everywhere in this area, near the lake as well. Good to know: Bike rental and restaurant are only on the opposite Geopark Village.

Nice family hotel located at the base of Mount Batur. Comfortable bungalow surrounded by the jungle and family farms. The owner is fantastic and she arranges everything you need (taxi driver, guides, scooters, laundry)

Be aware that the region, as it has many plantations that use organic manure, has many flies.
