Eagles Nest Cabanas

Great place. Helpful staff. Amazing surrounding. Lots of birds and animals. Near the deserted beach. You can spend time in a swimming pool watching birds in lagoon:).

Super fijne rustige locatie, mooi domein. Leuke kamers met aangenaam terras. Wij zaten op de bovenste verdieping met een leuk uitzicht. De locatie is wel wat afgelegen dus eigen vervoer is hier wel meegenomen. Er zijn wel wat restaurants op wandelafstand alsook aan het strand. Fijn zwembad met voldoende schaduw. Restaurant met een aantal sri lankaanse basisrecepten.

Zwemmen aan het strand is hier wel moeilijk. Veel golven en rotsen.

We had a great time at Eagle’s Nest Cabanas. The room was spotless, modern, and spacious. The grounds are truly beautiful – lush greenery, vibrant flora and fauna and a nice pool to relax in. Breakfast was decent, though we had to wait a little while – but in such a peaceful setting, it was easy to just relax and enjoy. Restaurants are within walking distance, which was very convenient.

Beautifully located next to a lagoon. Beautiful garden, pool and balcony are huge plus! So is watching the birds from the breakfast terrace. Try the Srilankan breakfast, was really great! Very kind hosts, supporting me with transportation arrangements and preparing food also at unusual hours. Would definately come back. :-)

The accommodation is a bit remote and closest beach is not really suitable for swimming. However, completely fine if you want to enjoy a bit of calmness.

Very friendly and hospitable owners who live on site, who organised Tuk tuks and taxi. Lovely swimming pool surrounded by beautiful gardens with resident peacocks and other birds. Our room had a lovely balcony at treetop level so we got great closeup views of birds. Restaurant overlooks a lake with kingfisher and bee-eater perches, which if you are a birder is fantastic. Room was clean with efficient a/c. Just under 10 min walk to a lovely long beach with a few beachside restaurants. Waves only for the brave!

Nothing really

Amazing location a short walk from the beach and the on site restaurant had great views over the lake, which was particularly amazing at breakfast. The hospitality and service were great and we wanted for nothing.

Beautiful surroundings, on the edge of a lagoon, so much wildlife, very peaceful and tranquil, lovely helpful host, always smiling. Great breakfast and evening meal.

If you wanted peace and quiet, it was perfect but if you wanted some other options for diner, it was a 15 minute tuktuk ride into Tangalle. A fridge in the room would have been very much appreciated.

Good Sri Lanka breakfast. Great view from the restaurant and pool area. Many birds to watch
