Summer Ridge - Homestay

The owners are so kind and made us feel welcome and at home. The room was very clean and comfortable. We requested a breakfast and it was abundant and super delicious. Also the location is in a quiet area but on walking distance to the city center. This place is definately a hiddem gem!

Unfortunately there is no dinner available at the accommodation. The bathroom can be reached via the hallway.

Asoka and his wife were very hospitable and friendly hosts. The rooms were perfectly clean and comfortable The home stay is well located close to Ratnapura but in a peaceful jungle edge of the hectic city. Asoka took me on a fantastic trip to a local mine (reason for visiting Ratnapura) thank you! You can keep your own breakfast in the fridge and use the kitchen. There is no food available from the homestay but plenty of local restaurants to go to. The hosts have a big dog but she is kept separate to the homestay. Thank you for having us 🙏🏽

Very friendly hosts, very calm at night, surrounded by vegetation, comfy bed.

Bedroom can get quite warm even with the fan, A/C would have been a nice addition. No hot water.

Very welcoming, owner is nice and can show and tell you a lot about this gem mining capital

The host was very friendly and helpful. He took us to a mine for 8000 Lkr without transportation because we had our own Tuktuk. The host tried to answer all of our questions about mining and he was very patient. The bed was comfortable and in the family room there was a mosquito net over the big bed.

Unfortunately there is no A/C in the family room which made it a bit hot in there. There were also many mosquitos in the shared bathroom and ants on the floor in the bedroom. Also we weren‘t aware of the service fee that was added in the end (10%)
