Since Ratnapura is a very busy city (loud and smelly), it,s nice to be in a quiet place away from the bustle of the town. Summer Ridge is a 12 minute walk away from a main street up on a green hill among tropical vegetation and fantastic birds. It,s nice and quiet. If you have a choice, take the room with the balcony.

The owner is friendly and helpful, but food, which is promised in the description of the place (5$ each), was not offered.

The family were very good to us.Diirected us to a restaurant. We booked 2 nights but we decided to stay only one night. They charged us only for one night.which was nice of the owner.

The road to the premises is pretty rough.It needs repairing.

"Amazing"

The accommodation is clean, airy, convenient for visiting nearby places. The hotel owner cooks very well. Coming here, he also provides a tour service to visit the gemstone mine, which is very interesting. very good place to stay. I will come back here as soon as possible

It was among the families property , had a cozy , homey flare. Shehan , and his parents were great hosts and hostesse. Gave honest advice on where to go and what to buy. Despite not having AC in the room, and not having hot water in the shower and sharing the sanitaires with other rooms the entire place was spotless. Simple but good breakfast. For strong coffee drinkers ( bring your own instant coffee)! We will definitely come back . Thank you for your warm hospitality

Guest go above and beyond for the guests! Entire family is very helpful and supportive! The homestay is very clean and comfortable. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place for your stay in Rathnapura!
