Friendly place

I stayed here last year so knew what to expect, but as before the host was wonderful. Warm and friendly but also allowing privacy and your own space. Breakfast was a lovely touch and the poached egg cooked to perfection. Easy walk into town. I arrived around 5.30pm and had no trouble finding parking on the residential streets.

I was in the room next to the bathroom which was fairly noisy. I was woken up several times with people coming back late and going to the bathroom throughout the night. Not the fault of the host, and tricky to manage with old floorboards! I'd bring some ear plugs for next time.

Alice guest house is an exceptional little retreat 15 minutes walk from Cheltenham, town centre. You would never know such an idyllic, beautiful, calming retreat existed just behind the front garden wall. As someone who travels a lot and loves the countryside Alice, felt like being in Dorset, more than a built up city area in Cheltenham. From the exquisite back garden, the flowers, the unique little touches, Alice, is a visual delight and I would stay there again for definite next time I'm in Cheltenham.
