Teak House Chiang Mai

Traditional Thai teak wooden house on stilts in a quiet area 20 mins drive south of the city centre. Great main road access to whatever you want to see and do and very close to great outdoor market and main shops. Magnificent host who was a pleasure to meet and genuine warm hearted and knowledgeable who spoke great English.

Nothing really to speak of but remember it’s a traditional Thai house with natural ventilation so be sure to cream/spray up to deter mosquitoes, which is the norm for Thailand anyways.

It was quite and private. A little away from the town

We arrived and met Daow and she was wonderful. She was so helpful and knowledgeable.

This a very unique place to stay. Individual tiny homes essentially. Lots of character, privacy and charm. A great host that has pride and style in his creation. Great value and everything you need is in walking distance.. but it is about 30 min from town square. You can take the yellow bus for $50 baht to town square. I’d def stay again , especially good for someone looking for a longer stay as these little homes are quipped.

This place is rustic.. ie repurposed materials through out.. that’s what makes it unique and gives class and charm. Not for everyone tho.

It is a lovely cozy place. Super quiet and surrounded with nature. Bob is friendly knows everything about the area and likes to support guests as much as possible. We rented one of his big bike for a trip to Pai which was super nice.
