Little Yen's Homestay

I have mixed feelings about this place. It's located in Pa Village, which is a quite nice little village that weirdly calls itself Meo Vac (although the real Meo Vac is a few kilometers south). When I stayed there, I was rushed to their group dinner. It was standard 100K dinner available at the rest of the Ha Giang loop accomodations, and was good.

Maybe it's just my bad luck, but I am mentioning this to help others have a decent shut eye: the whole Pa Vi village is a bunch of karaoke-friendly "homestays". They tend to get loud everyday (although they have a 10pm forced quiet time), and the other guests at your dorm night not be quiet. The staff didn't help that much in the morning either, but loudly cleaning up the beds after guests checked out at 5am.

I brought a group of friends to tour Ha Giang again and wanted to pick the perfect place to stay to make them all happy. Little Yen's Homestay was just the right place for us. The host spoke perfect English and was very organised and accommodating of any specific changes we discussed. All the staff were competent and made everything very easy for us as well as being inviting and making us feel looked after. A laundry service is offered which returned my clothes dry the very next morning before my checkout. I told the host what times we wanted our meals to be ready and they were always perfectly on time. The cook created us and provided very tasty food which we all enjoyed. The host also took our dietary considerations seriously which meant we all had a good meal. The homestay is part of a larger complex but is on the quiet site. This is the best of both worlds as you can stay in the quiet or take a 5 minute walk to one of the other homestay rented by Jasmine Hostel tours and enjoy a fun party with western guests also doing the Ha Giang tour. There is a a bar serving drinks all night at the party.

We had a great stay and there were no complaints from any of our group. The only improvement I could think of would be to name the soap and shampoo in English as well as Vietnamese and to fix the missing light bulb in the second floor bathroom area.

it is not in Meo Vac, so if you are traveling by bicycle you need to consider that.

it was clean

strange atmosphere, feels like a museum. What I especially don’t like is that they lie to you by saying it is an ancient village, but in truth the whole village was build ten years ago. The people running the village pretend to be from Hmong tribe, even though they are not, cause they want to make money that way. Which is extremely insensitive to the actual Hmong people. I don’t recommend staying in this village.

Everything especially location

Everyone in this place is very nice, especially one staff who are happy all day. You guys support me very enthusiastically, the room is clean, cozy, and fully equipped, there is 1 speaker available for anyone who wants to listen to music or karaoke. Here there is a meal of 800,000VND for 6 people is a traditional meal, very delicious, it is highly recommended to try it.

The bathroom is located in the room, but it is not sealed, outside can hear the toilet inside. This will make some people uncomfortable, like me. However, this small error can be ignored.
