The fact that for the first time in 20years of staying in hotels I was charged £200 for smoking, with no evidence just a message saying it smelt of smoke and that they will deduct £200. The funny thing is, we had a whole garden to our self's with patio entrance, we smoked outside, doesn't make any sense. But overall amazing stay, location and staff were friendly. My wife hates the smell of smoke, so I wouldn't have smoked in the room. And saying it smelt of smoke isn't evidence. They also claimed they cant rent out the room for 2 days, 2DAYS, like we lit a bonfire in there or something

Everything about the property was exceptional. Staff were efficient, friendly and extremely helpful. The room was spacious, well presented and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was well organised in terms of orders and timing. The meal itself was delicious, freshly prepared to order and piping hot when it arrived. There were lots of little extra touches that made the stay enjoyable. We had a wonderful first stay and will look to return for our next visit to the area.

Everything was without fault.

Very friendly staff, room was lovely and bright. We lived that we had access to the spa, and just a short walk into bowness.
