Marari Nadiya

One of the highlights of our stay in Kerala - amazing homestay literally 30 seconds from the most beautiful beach. The property and garden area is so beautiful and the owners and their children are so lovely, so kind and so helpful and the breakfast is fantastic. Amazing restaurant called “Fisherman’s cafe” is right beside the homestay.

Kind hosts, delicious breakfast, beautiful garden, close to beach

The whole accommodation, the garden and the lights at night are beautiful, the host and his family were very nice and helpful, the fish curry with fresh shark, which was cooked by the mother, was delicious and the ocean so close. We can definitely recommend this homestay.

- Vicinity to the secluded beach. - 2 cafes, one 10 meters away, another 100meters. - Amazing host. - You get breakfast like it's lunch 😶‍🌫️😂

We stayed for 6 days and we had a wonderful time. The owner Pradeep is extremely kind and welcoming. He made us feel at home and we shared great discussions together. The food made by his mom is delicious, the best food we had in India! The room was clean and spacious. They also cleaned the room at the middle of our stay, changed our bedsheets and towels. The location is perfect, 2 minutes walks from the beach and you can also access the main road of Marari to go to the little shops. Thank you Pradeep, thank you to your mamma, your wife, your son and daughter :)

The location is great, close to the beach and some beach-front restaurants. There is a shop 10 minutes walk away where you can buy essentials and get takeaway food. The room was spacious and clean. It was really lovely and peaceful to sit outside and read. The food made by the host’s mother is not cheap but is absolutely delicious so I’d recommend getting it at least once. What really tipped this experience for us was our last day when the host helped us get a local bus to Munnar from Cherthala- he drove us to the station and waited with us, showed us which bus to get and helped us get our luggage on board. We would have struggled without him! He and his family are nice people.

The location is not near the town (it’s nearly an hour to walk, or you could get a tuktuk). I think it would be good to offer guests the use of a kitchen or at least have a kettle in the room so we could have cups of tea without having to go out (there are not always staff present at the property or readily available by text). Also to offer cleaning every few days would be great, I’m sure we could have asked but it feels a bit awkward as a guest!

Pardeep, the guesthouse owner, was exceptionally kind. Everything we asked for he did immediately, with joy and a big smile. The beach is very beautiful and clean.

The beach is a little far from Cochin and from the canal cruise.

The hospitality is amazing, the home made food is out of the world..
