The grounds are beautiful, the family is lovely, the beach is close, the food is delicious.

The host were really warm and welcoming people and the kerala style food was super tasty. The beach is just a 5 min walk and its a clean safe beach and not crowded.

"Comfortable homestay with amazing food"

Our host Pradeep was extremely kind and communicative. He really cared about us and checked we were happy with everything, also helping us to organise a taxi and a backwaters kayak tour, taking us to the bus stop himself. The highlight of the homestay was the incredible, plentiful Keralan food cooked by Pradeep’s mother-in-law, we couldn’t get enough of it. The home has a pretty garden and is also under 2 minutes walk to beautiful Marari beach. All this for extremely good value, thanks so much!

No negatives! Just bring bug spray as there are lots of insects.

"Happy Stay for Family with kids in a quiet beach side homestay"

Perfect location, very close to the Marari beach. Quiet and serene. The stay is surrounded by greenery. Peaceful stay, with a very accommodating and helpful host. He always picked up the phone in case of any discomforts, also arranged a tuk tuk for us to go around. Mararikulam is non commercial and chilled out place. Don’t expect many restaurants nearby. The host prepares kerala style dinner , lunch on demand. Breakfast was good too. We travelled with 2 young kids and had a very happy and laid back stay.

Water heater wasn’t working but given the weather we were fine.

Pradeep and his family were very kind hosts. We enjoyed very much the garden, the sound of the many birds and the sea. Pradeep' mum provided us every day with and excellent breakfast and very tasteful dinner. It's a one minute walk from the sea. We felt safe and very welcome. We can very much recommend this homestay,
