Very nice place to stay. Excellent location just outside the busy center. Malioboro street is just a couple minutes walk away and the other tourist sights can also easily be reached by walking or a short cab ride. The host are really friendly (mother and son i think) and super helpfull. They helped me arrange a trip to Borobudur, Merapi and Prambanan. The scooters in the street make some noise at night so earplugs are important. Its also very clean, comfortable and safe. Definately a great place to stay in Yogyakarta.

Close to train station. Clean rooms and nice bathroom. Comfy mattress.

- very loud inside the room because there is a street right next to all rooms. if you come i recommend to bring your earplugs for sleeping. there is no soundproofing as statet on booking.com

The service was exceptional, the lady cared about us a lot. We felt it. The room was very clean.

The noise was horrible, you should invest in soundproof windows.

Room was spotless cleanest accommodation I’ve stayed in in SE Asia, shower pressure was great with actual warm water. Bed comfy and so close to everything Malioboro is a 5minute walk. WiFi was brilliant as well. They over out a little brochure for sightseeing that’s cheaper than Klook and get your guide. Seen bad reviews about noise but honestly never bothered me. Fresh water brought everyday was a nice touch.

3 minutes on a Grab scooter to Malioboro. The owners of The Lawang were wonderful and accommodating.
