Wessex House

Lovely large bathroom with a bath. Fully equipped room with microwave and fridge. Our room was spacious, clean, and well equipped. Location is great. Easy walk to train station.

Easy to find, nice and quiet.

Absolutely one of the nicest places I have ever stayed! From the moment we arrived everything was beyond perfect. Wessex House Hotel completely exceeded expectations in every single way. The room was stunning, incredibly modern and high tech, while still feeling cosy and welcoming. Everything was absolutely spotless and the attention to detail with the cleanliness was genuinely impressive. The mini kitchen area was such a bonus too, with a fridge, water and milk provided which made the stay feel even more thoughtful and luxurious. The location could not be better — super close to town so you can easily walk back after a night out, with shops nearby and great parking available as well. The key box system made everything so easy and gave loads of freedom to come and go without any hassle. But the best part was definitely the hosts. They were absolutely fantastic from start to finish, explained everything perfectly, and genuinely made us feel safe, comfortable and looked after throughout the whole stay. You can really tell they care about giving people the best experience possible. Could not recommend this place enough and will 100% be staying again.

Nothing to not like

No breakfast We didn't meet any staff

The floor above us was creaky. People there were moving about and dropping items till after 2am & then ordered food delivery. There didn't seem to be any sound proofing as we could hear folk on the ground floor chatting till about 2..30am so we couldn't sleep at all.
