One of the best places we have ever stayed! The view from the room was amazing and the hosts were the best. Breakfast is the best we've had in Portugal.

The owners of quinta Feliciano and Aurora are the most hospitable and kind people on earth. They showed us their wonderful organic garden, told us the history of how it all started, shared their home made dessert and home grown fruits, let us taste their wines and even helped us with the laundry when we couldn't find any in Pinhao. One of those experiences in Douro valley I will never forget. Also they are pet friendly, have their own 2 cute dogs and our Luna felt at home there.

The views from the rooms and the covered outdoor terrace were stunningly beautiful and we just loved being there. Aurora’s breakfasts were exceptional. Luciano was very helpful and produces a lovely port.

Visitors need to realise that it is remote. Restaurants, cafés and shops are not on the doorstep. Aurora makes herself understood in English. Luciano uses Google Translate but it works.

The view was incredible and the hosts are very friendly and accommodating. breakfast was superb. Facilities are new and modern.

Fantastic getaway with serine environment. Beautiful mountain views. Great wine and port made by the owner. Fantastic Micheline style breakfast.

Wifi and airconditioner didn't work in the rooms.

Beautiful location, overlooking the Douro valley, down to Pinhao - you can see a section of the river. Also lovely skies. A great breakfast - best of our holiday, including their hens’ eggs and fruit and nuts from their land. A small pool(more tub like) to cool off in, with the same fantastic view, was very welcome. Nice outside seating area - with the view! - and BBQ available.

The hosts were amazing, took care of every request we had. They treated us like family, and it was one of best experiences we had in Portugal. The view from the room window is breathtaking.

Wifi is low

The view was incredible and the family was so welcoming! We were able to do a wine tasting with the winemaker, and the breakfasts prepared for us were just outstanding. Definitely order breakfast every day of your stay. A special terrace table is prepared for you with more food than you've ever seen in your life, at exceptional value and even better taste! So much of the food seemed to be fresh from their garden. They also prepared us a romantic picnic dinner on our first night that made our honeymoon really special. We felt very well cared for. The town of Provesende feels straight from a fairy tale and is easy walking distance (8 minutes, tops) and much cuter than Pinhao. We were able to walk about 45 minutes past incredible views to several lovely, family-owned wineries in the area as well. If you're not up for the walk, call a taxi - do NOT rent a car when visiting this area. The roads are terrifyingly narrow and twisty and on the edges of cliffs, and even the best driver in the world should not be on them after drinking even a single drop of wine. A taxi to Pinhao, the train station, and the river boats was less than 20 euros each way and took about 20 minutes. The views are breathtaking in every direction - have your camera ready on the drive up! Just try not to look down over the edge if you're afraid of heights, haha. I can't imagine a better experience. I did not see a single accommodation that I would have rather stayed at in the entire Douro Valley than right here. Perfect, beautiful location with incredible hospitality from the family that owns it.

The bed and pillows were not as comfortable for someone not used to a firmer mattress (a simple mattress pad would likely do wonders! And for some reason this has seemed to be true for us across Portugal) but the views more than made up for it. Early risers will remember the sunrise here for the rest of their lives. Do not hesitate to book.
