Casa Ixchel - 700m to Downtown, WiFi, Hot Water, AC

Great apartment: very spacious, clean and with air-conditioning which was very welcomed. Manolo was very responsive and friendly. Would stay here again whilst in Valladolid.

The host was nice, that's it. But I did pay for 3 nights and stayed one night because his place his awefully loud and uncomfortable so to be nice but take all my money is not so nice.

I left after the first night!!!Super noisy, all day and night, super super noisy, left after one night. The location is very far from center, and there are really not sidewalks, you have to walk on the road. So many locks to get in, you have to get out to warm the water 30 min before. So warm at the common kitchen, the aircon is loud. The dog barks all night, the motorcycles are loud all night, the rooster... zero isolation... Couldn't sleep a minute!!!

It was perfect for our stay for one night. The host was super friendly and supportive. We were able to store our luggage until the evening. It was a simple accomodation, but you will find everything you need and it was clean. Also you can walk to the city center and to ADO bus. There are nice restaurants around and also an Oxxo market. We definitely recommend staying here.

This homestay sets standards and the host really thought about making it a good experience!! Super friendly communication, walkable to city center, offered parking. Common area accessible by guests, kitchen available and room was very comfy. Would stay again.

The owner is very kind. The appartement clean. Good beds and electric gear.

The noise from the street, especially in the room next to the street. And the noisy neighbour's dog. The appartement is a bit gloomy.

It is walkable distance from bus station and main city center. It is very spacious and bed very good in size.

It is too noisy because it is on a main avenue. The ** city ** doesn't like sidewalks, so prepare to walk on the streets, the sidewalks are tiny and in some roads they don't exist , but this is not an apartment's problem.

Manolo is very helpful. He sent us lots of information about tours, sights to see and where to eat. He is readily contactable by WhatsApp. Very reasonably priced. Location is not bad - about 15 minute walk to the Zocalo and maybe another 10 to the Convent. Aircon and wifi are very good. Clean and secure.

Need to turn on the boiler for hot water and this takes about 15 minutes to heat up - this is outside of the room unfortunately. Bathroom is a little tight. Could have done with more blankets. To enter the room one has to open a padlock and then two sliding doors. It would probably make more sense to enter/exit via the other door which adjoins the communal area. A bedside lamp would be nice as the main light is quite bright. No hand towel for the bathroom. The only outside light source is via the sliding door which is obviously large so we tended to want to keep the blind down for privacy, although football would only be from guests of the other few rooms - this did make things feel a bit dark in the room.
