Hot water ran out after one person showering

The owners are very friendly and helpful. They can explain to how to get to the sights without having to take a tour. The rooms are basic, but for the price absolutely fine. The shared shower has proper hot water. You can buy breakfast (with home-baked sourdough bread!) and dinner (Mon.-Sat.) at their place. It's located between the Plaza de Armas and the terminal terrestre from where all the colectivos leave. Both are within walking distance.

The bed was super comfortable, the bathroom was great, with a hot shower and everything was really clean! The couple was also very friendly and extremely helpful. They gave us great advice on how to get around in the area, plus they even let us check in at 6 AM since our bus arrived during the night. Overall, nothing to complain about 😊

Alfredo and Nancy were really friendly welcoming. Alfredo has good english and really helpful in helping us plan our day trips around chachapoyas, as our spanish is poor. Alfredo was kind enough to give us a lift to bus station also our first day! Every morning we got a delicious cooked breakfast and fresh juice and coffee. The location was perfect, only a few blocks from plaza de la armas, a nice quiet area. Rooms were nice, clean and comfortable. Perfect for us! Highly recommend!

We were looking forward to staying here based on all the positive reviews but unfortunately we didn't have such a good experience. The family who run the place are very friendly, however we booked a tour through them and the organisation was a mess - we were told the tour would start 10.30am, then got a message at 2am in the morning that it would actually start at 7.30am and then as we were getting ready in the morning got another message saying actually it's 10.30am. We also used their laundry service - paid and were told 24 hour turnaround but the next day our clothes were still soaking wet. We waited 48 hours for our laundry and had to pack our bags after check out an hour before catching a night bus. They hadn't told us that there was no dryer. You shouldn't offer a service you can't fulfil. Finally, the shower was only hot once and the rest of the time either cold or just slightly warm. I'm sad to have to write a negative review because the accommodation itself is nice and good value for money and the family are lovely but we just wish we had booked the tour ourselves and used a laundrette instead.

Everything, Nancy and Alfredo are excellent hosts, very friendly and helpful.
