Natural bungalows

We found this accommodation to be value for money. We used the bikes that were available to travel back into town which was easy. We ate twice at the property for our evening meal which was good value. We found the owner to be available to answer any questions we had. The fan in the room was adequate to keep it cool. We didn’t experience any problems with insects in our room. The owner was accommodating when we arrived 2 hours before check in. Overall would recommend for anyone looking for a cheap accommodation option for a night or two.

This was a very affordable place to stay so you get what you pay for - eg cold water for the showers.

Mr Chantou is brilliant, very nice and helpful. He booked our onward bus tickets for us, and makes the best omelettes for breakfast! We rented motorbikes for the day which was very easy and the best way to get around. When we arrived in the heat of the day we were worried that the room would be hot at night and there would be a lot of mosquitoes but both concerns were groundless and we slept well. It's very simple but clean and comfortable, with good WiFi, cold drinks and food if you want it. We would definitely visit again.

It's disappointing that there is a lot of litter in the area, and there is some noise from cockerels and dogs so take earplugs if you're a light sleeper!

The owner was really nice and friendly. He cooked great food for dinner and helped us book a bus to kampong Cham. We were also able to rent his bikes and use them to cycle around the town. It's the perfect place to unwind and experience rural life in Cambodia. Also wasn't too bad with mosquitos.

If you're looking for something more central this won't be for you. It's an isolated and peaceful area with friendly locals. You'll be able to cycle into town or the owner will help book a tuktuk.

We spent three nights at Natural Bungalows. Kampong Cham is a very authentic Cambodian city, which has very little tourism which adds greatly to its attraction. Staying at Natural Bungalows supported the feeling of being very much part of the Vietnamese life as you are living just outside of the city, down a narrow lane, next to a local village and with a Cambodian family. The rooms at Natural Bungalows are small, but they are exceptionally tidy and clean.Each room has its own shower. At the time we were there was the rainy season, so all of the rooms,which are on stilts, were sitting on top of a lake! This added to its attraction. The owner is very friendly and prompt in organizing tuk tuks and small excursions we decided to take. He even booked our coach tickets on to Phnom Penh. His relaxed and friendly manner made our stay very easy and, with his family and children going about with their lives, it really felt like we were part of the household. The owner does most of the cooking which is simple but tasty. We would very much recommend a stay at Natural Bungalows.It's an authentic Cambodian experience and a positive change from the normal tourist accommodations.
