Les Cordeliers

Susan and Stephen run a beautiful B&B just outside of the medieval centre of Sarlat. Everything you might want to visit is in walking distance and there is ample free parking nearby. The room was spotless, very comfortable (gorgeous linen on the bed!). It also had good quality air con which was appreciated as we were there during a heatwave. Susan and Stephen were both super helpful with local recommendations for restaurants and trips out of Sarlat. The breakfast buffet was also great and changed both days we were there - lovely fresh bread, cheeses, meats, smoked salmon, cereals, fruits and yoghurts.

The only thing I can find to fault Les Cordeliers is the lack of an iron in the room! But otherwise, it had everything we could want!

O Hotel é lindo, com decoração clássica de muito bom gosto. O quarto é o banheiro em que ficamos era muito espaçoso, com cama grande bem confortável. Um bônus foi a copa que serve todos os quartos e quem um frigobar, máquina de café, água, chaleira para fazer chá. Os donos cuidam pessoalmente de tudo e o Steve (espero ter escrito corretamente), é muito atencioso, simpático, dá ótimas dicas de passeios por Sarlat e pela região e de restaurantes em Sarlat (não deixe de ir no maravilhoso restaurante Gueule & Gosier).

Gostamos de tudo, mas é bom saber que há escadas para subir e também que o Steve ajuda com as malas na chegada e na saída. Seria bom um espelho de corpo inteiro e um box na banheira para um banho mais descontraído.

The house is well kept 3 story B&B with 5 or 6 rooms. Breakfast room on the main floor, all nicely decorated. The location is ideal for walking around Sarlat.
