I stayed for a long weekend and was more than satisfied with this slightly quirky accommodation. Breakfast was served with a panache that would not be out of place in the Savoy. The fruit compote was actually freshly prepared fruit.

Nothing really but visitors have to accept that it's a Victorian building.

We had just one night, intending to do some very light hiking in the area. For that purpose, we needed a brief place to rest and at the same time, feel like we were fully enjoying our weekend. Our stay at Gorphwysfa House B&B was perfect. What stood out was the cleanliness of the place; it was spotless. The bed was equipped with a high-quality duvet, great sheets, and pillows, providing a lot of comfort. It was nice that our small room had an electric kettle and supplied complimentary hot chocolate, tea, coffee, a variety of classic biscuits, and some chocolate. I appreciated the communication of the host; I had all the answers before I could think of questions. A separate acknowledgment goes to the breakfast; it was very filling and had so many options. I ended up turning my toast and bacon into a sandwich for lunch, and my partner was happy he could take his Bara brith with him for a hike. Overall, it was a super homely and considerate stay. If we ever end up in the area again, we will always choose Gorphwysfa House B&B.

It's really hard to find faults with the place as it is so well thought out! One point I had in mind is that our room did get condensation; we had to constantly air it out. If we had stayed for longer than a night or two and were doing lots of hiking, we might have struggled to get our clothing dry just in our room. Maybe there's already a solution in place, but if not, here's something to consider.
