Jim Guesthouse

A very warm welcome to Jim Guesthouse. The host was friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. The bungalow was everything we needed for a short stay in Kanchanaburi. It was in a great location with a European restaurant around the corner and a ten minute tuk tuk ride to the river kwai bridge.

Noisy dogs at night. Bed and pillows are not overly comfortable.

The location, the pool, the owner ( Jim) was amazing and so helpful, the cats and dogs, the garden! Everything was perfect ✨

Jim is the most lovely host you can imagine. Very friendly, informative, and talkative. Really clean room and nice swimming pool. All the people that stayed here were very friendly. I highly recommend this place to stay!

Hostess was extremely friendly. She was always happy to help you plan your day. Breakfast was simple but amazing, toast + eggs with 2 a 3 different types of fruit. We liked that you could choose your own portions, so u were always full without waste. The pool was clean and refreshing. The location was quiet with the compromise that you're a bit further from the centre. Hostess helped us book a scooter so we could get around more easily.

The room had a piece of paper within it that determined for what kind of stain, on what kind of object, how much you would be fined. I can understand getting fed up with tourists not respecting hotel property. But accidants can happen, and it's a bit uncomfortable to sleep on a bed, knowing that a spil could cost u up to 3000 baht.

Efficient staff. Location is quite and peaceful.

Water quality in the pool was a bit murky.

This was a great find, as was the delightful Jim, the owner. She was super helpful, spoke great English, made delicious homemade breakfasts - she was a great host. The pool was a treat too, particularly in the 40 degrees April heat! She was very helpful organising taxis, making sure fair prices paid etc. also - 3 lovely cats and a puppy on the property too!

To be honest there wasn't much I didn't like!! I enjoyed the location on the other side of the river, really only a few minutes walk to the strio

Room was clean and nice garden setting with pool, Home cooked breakfast and friendly, helpful staff. Very peaceful place
