Chez Allen Mountain View

Die Lage der Unterkunft war ganz gut. Man konnte zu Fuß runter ins Zentrum laufen und ist an Restaurants vorbei gekommen.

Das Badezimmer hatte einen starken unangenehmen Geruch der sich schnell auch im Zimmer wahrnehmen ließ, wenn die Türe nicht komplett geschlossen war. Auch das Wasser in der Dusche hatte einen komischen Geruch.

The accommodation had a nice view, but it was a bit hard to reach because it's high on the hill. We liked it because it was quiet. When we arrived it was cold and they welcomed us with nice tea and a fire to heat up.

Nette kamer met super mooi uitzicht over de stad. Badkamer wel wat schimmel op de muur en het dekbed overtrek was gescheurd. Personeel kan helaas slecht Engels, wel op weg geholpen met de tuktuk.

Rooms were good. Nice view. But breakfast provided was not up to the value.

located on the edge of Nuwaraeliya town with beautiful views of the town below, really pretty during the day. The shared areas were the best parts - fireplace, carom board, cozy vibes. Staff were incredibly lovely and tried their best to accomodate our requests. 100% would recommend if you were after a mountains getaway with a group of friends on a budget. I travelled with a big group that included my 66 years old mother. The location was not ideal for an elderly person. The paved roads disappear on the way up the mountain and they become narrower and narrower. Even though it’s 2km out of town, the roads are pitch black at night - not easily accessible at night through winding mountain roads with no light. Also, if you travel in a big van like we did, parking is pain. Getting a big van up the hill and keeping it safe overnight was a huge concern. The hotel didn’t warn us about this despite my booking being for 6 people. Some of the amenities listed on this website were never seen during our stay. Ironing facilities, hair dryer etc.

Good dining area and view.

The TV was not working and missing its remote control. When I asked staff, he responded that TV is not working due to unpaid bill. Not much clean out side area. specially roof top

I like the old colonial style of this hotel. They made fire for us in the fire place which make it very comfortable. Besides, the from the room was amazing. We loved it a lot. The guide Mr. Ari was really good for taking us around. We loved him because of his caring nature❤️.
