Iris Retreat & Island Day Spa

The staff was friendly and addressed the issues we raised. The ladies who provided the massages were also excellent.

In the morning, the oven wasn’t working due to a lack of gas, and the toaster kept tripping the power. Although we were promised a replacement toaster, it was never provided. On Sunday morning, there was no water available for bathing as maintenance was taking place, so we had to wait. Additionally, all the cutlery was dirty, and the blankets had holes in them. The swimming pool was not maintained at all, which made it unusable throughout our stay.

Absolutely LOVED our stay. Here are some of the reasons we enjoyed it so much: Private outdoor relaxation area, complimentary sherry on arrival, decor, separate kitchen area, shower pressure on both inside and outside shower was really good, the bed was very comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Loved the animals on the property. Unfortunately no time to use the spa facilities, but hope to visit again and take advantage of spa treatments on offer. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Iris Retreat!!!

Was looking forward for relaxing in the bath tub , but the bath tub drain stopper allowed water to drain out.

From the moment we arrived at Iris Retreat, we were blown away by the warm hospitality. Christine, our host, was truly exceptional, she personally welcomed us and made sure we felt right at home. She was always available via WhatsApp for calls and texts, and went above and beyond to help us organize anything we needed. Her friendliness and attentiveness made our stay feel extra special, she’s honestly the best host I’ve ever met. We stayed in the Riverside Cottage, and it was breathtaking. The views of the river were serene and calming, the perfect backdrop for a peaceful getaway. The cottage itself was spacious and beautifully set up. We especially loved the combination of the two bathrooms , one being an en-suite and the other an open-air outdoor shower and toilet, which made us feel even more connected to nature. The bed was absolutely massive, incredibly comfortable, and spotlessly clean. If you’re looking for a peaceful, private, bush-like escape surrounded by nature , this is it. Everything about Iris Retreat encourages you to unplug and unwind. A special shoutout goes to Banda, one of the staff members, who was so helpful with setting up the fire and tidying up the space , always with a kind smile and warm attitude. I genuinely loved every minute of our stay and am already looking forward to booking again. Thank you, Christine and the Iris Retreat team, for such a magical experience!

Absolutely nothing!

Truth be told,ideally this is one of my favourite places I’ve visited,if you mainly looking for an intimate,calm and relaxed getaway place please do not hesitate..it’s very private and exclusive with quiet a lot of a variety of entertainment. I was highly satisfied with the outcome and I enjoyed every single inch of it,the beauty of the bushes and the river view was insanely beautiful including their outdoor showers,this experience was out of this world. Not to forget to mention how friendly they are and it was heart warming. I genuinely encourage anyone to visit this place with no doubt because I’m definitely going back.🤌🏽
