Vicolo dell'Oste

The location was central and convenient. The space on the top floor was generous with a large screen tv in the bedroom. The sheets and towels were good quality. I looked being able to boil water for tea.

I’m am fit but in my seventies so the stairs to the top floor apartment were challenging on some days after walking in the heat of July. I have noticed that my past two Italian accommodations have a cooking stove but provide no pots or pans for cooking. A kettle would be sufficient.

What a gem of a find. This little hotel is right in the heart of the city. The rooms are charming, well appointed, and comfortable. Giuseppe and his family are wonderful hosts. He was born in Montepulciano so he is the perfect guide to anything you'd like to know about the area including, but not only, where to eat. (He says his English is not good, but it is much better than he claims!) They offer a deal for breakfast through the restaurant across the street (Caffe Poliziano). The restaurant is wonderful - beautiful inside, fantastic views, good food. I cannot say enough about how pleasantly surprised we were when we got into our room in Vicolo dell'Oste. Even my husband was impressed with what a great little hotel this was. What a special place.

The fan in our room wasn't working when we were there (we were told before hand). I would have preferred to have it working, but honestly even though it was July, the room was cool and comfortable.

We loved our stay at the Vicolo dell’ Oste, B&B! The accommodations were first rate (a suite with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a seating area/ kitchen) and our hosts, Luisa and Giuseppe, were so helpful providing recommendations (and a map of the city and surrounding area) of local restaurants, sites and day trips outside the city. The B&B is centrally located, right off the Main Street; perfect for exploring this charming city. An added bonus - Vocolo dell’ Oste provides parking a short walk from the B&B. If you travel to Montepulciano - stay here!

Nothing…it was a great stay.

The owners contacted us the day before to let us know that it was Italy's Labor Day and there was no bus or taxi to take us from the train station. They took care of us arranging a taxi to meet us when the train arrived! When we arrived - they took such good care of us with a beautiful room and such a warm and welcoming arrival. They explained the great retaurants and shops to visit and throughout our stay we felt like family!

Wish we could have spent more time there!! Next visit will include more exploring of the whole area!

Lovely place in town. Wonderful sweet host was very helpful.Parking in garage free just a short few minute walk to the property. Would definitely stay again.
