First off,Muzaffar who looks after the property is an absolute angel.Very well read,erudite and ethical,he went out of the way to make me comfortable from providing me hot water for drinking to getting me a hot water bag in the night for my shoulder;the gentleman is a shining beacon of Kashmiri hospitality. I had the pleasure of meeting his brother and father,who were very pleased by my presence at the end of the season. For solo travellers on a budget,this property works and with the work Muzaffar is putting in by installing a new floor,a restaurant,we can see more of this hospitality.

Perhaps this was the end of the season or so and I may have missed these,but a room with a kettle in such cold conditions would be welcome. TVs are always welcome what with some entertainment needed in Pahalgam.A generic need I saw in all homestays in Kashmir was the lack of a room heater.With single digit temperatures in Celsius,this should be a must.Look forward to coming here again to see some improvements.

The location of the homestay is with one of the most mesmerizing view of the mountains and with the river flowing next to the stay. Muzaffar is one of the best host I have come across, he is very welcoming and helpful. He made sure that we had the most comfortable stay and was very responsive anytime we reached out. He took us for a single day trek through the most beautiful and scenic view of Pahalgham. I would definitely look forward to stay here on my next visit.

location of the property close to public transport facilities. Facilities in the room like running hot water all the time, bead warmers were awesome in such a cold place

Food options were minimal that can be improved

Host was an absolute help and friendly person. We got sick after arriving there, my wife and I puked for few times in the washroom. He didn’t hesitate at all to clean this mess up. Throughout the night he was checking whether we were okay. If anyone wants, he can even manage 2-3 days trekking in offbeat location. They have a small lawn as well where you can have your morning tea enjoying the sunshine. This hotel is hundred percent value for money.

I like surrounding, location and the property itself. The host is well behaved and responded every time with patience and guided us about the local sightseeing. The washroom are near and clean as well the bedding.

It was a decent place to stay. They provided electric blankets which was very useful as the temperature was around 7 degrees. The owner was very helpful.

Power cuts was an issue due to the weather. It is about 3 kms from the main market, we had our taxi 24hrs with us, so commute wasn't an issue. Walking to the market and restaurants would otherwise be difficult.

The family was very caring. It felt like home. We had a lovely stay.
