Mavi's bedrooms

The location was nice and I was able to check in early . I very rarely give bad reviews but this is honestly one of the worse places I have ever stayed .

It's a long list. I stayed in the single room . The size of the room was good, but that is it. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. I could feel the springs in the mattress. The window was broken, and cold air came in (December), and they would barely have the heat on. It's 6 degrees (Celsius) at night, and they turn the heat off. They only turned it on for a few hours in the evening even though it only got to 8 degrees and it was rainy. There are two bathrooms but only one with a shower. The one with a shower smelled so bad from the pipes that at night, the smell would come into my room . The fans in the bathrooms do not work, and there are no windows in the bathrooms. She doesn't bother to put hand towels in the bathroom, only one roll of toilet paper, and they leave the dirty smelly rags they clean with in the bathroom . The spare cot is also kept in one of the bathrooms. Everything is old, dated, dirty, and broken, and no one fixes anything. I spent over a month in Italy and this was the worst place ..

A very central location made getting around easy

Super nice host, she greeted me at the door, explained everything and answered all my questions. The room and bathroom very clean, bed comfy. Small fridge, plates and microwave available in corridor. Great location, especially for short stay.

The window of my room looked onto the corridor, which meant that the room was with no sunlight.

Close to the old town center and train station. Rosaria is a very friendly and helpful host

I think that the best side of this place is localization. The Mavi’s bedroom is in the centre of Lucca, so it’s close to the most popular atractions of the town. The host was really helpfull and nice!

The Mavi’s bedroom doesn’t provide a cleaning service, so in our room trash spilled out of the bin. Also, there was only one bathtub for 3 rooms.

Outstanding value, fantastic location in a beautiful city, very friendly welcome. Just three bedrooms sharing one full bathroom and a separate toilet and basin, with kettle, microwave and fridge provided in the corridor. I was staying there as part of a large group of friends visiting the city but all making independent travel arrangements, and it turned out that three of us had booked into the same place, so we had it to ourselves.

A few minor niggles such as loose toilet seats and a feeble and rather noisy ceiling fan (wouldn't expect air conditioning at this price point), but for the price I paid it was an amazing bargain and I'd happily stay there again.
