The location is beautiful, accommodation comfortable. All the farm workers and farm staff friendly, helpful and, smiling. Lovely mountain views, walks through the orchards, no air or noise pollution.

Reception staff rude, unwelcoming, attitude of "doing a favor" by assisting with the book in and book out. They need plenty of training in just being polite and courteous. I needed to complete a form with my personal information thereon, on which there were a few more blocks asking for personal information. When booking out I requested to see this form, only to find that the next person who booked in used the same form therefore having access to all my personal information without my permission. As this is in breach of the POPIA act, I shall be reporting this to the Information Regulator. To ALL guests booking in - ensure that your personal information is safe and not exposed to other guests. Two teeny slivers of dried fruit in the book in envelope - an insult as am sure the packaging cost more. Why can a guest not be presented with a small bar of dried fruit, or a few pieces of dried peaches?

The view and the quietness

Felt like a retirement home and the stove door was broken and the shower wasnt a good experience and the hot tub was broken the first day we where there and the rooms are so hot we had to sleep on the sleeper couch for the aircon

Easy booking, clear and detailed communication from the staff before arrival already. Friendly and personalized greeting upon arrival. A fun and delicious fruit tasting and guided tour of the operational facility behind the scenes. A friendly and informative introduction with the owner, comfortable chatting about the surrounding area and spots worth exploring. The chalet is well furnished with all necessities provided. Fully equipt kitchen and all! Big enough to sleep up to 6 people, lovely porch and BBQ for exclusive use. Neat garden and lawn at the doorstep. Surrounded by mountains and fruit trees. Night time is so peacefull and quiet. We had breathtaking clear starry skies, even a few shooting stars! Comfy beds, crisp linen and clean en suite bathrooms to both bedrooms. Television with all sorts of channels to choose from if so wish, but we enjoyed the outdoors more. Hot tub on the porch was inviting, but with a long day's traveling and an early start the next morning, we gave it a pass, but definitely a must try if we have more time next time. Checkout is convenient and trouble free. To prospective travelers I'd say to arrive early and stay a few days to allow yourself the time to walk / drive arround to enjoy everything this area has to offer. It is very remote, but truly much worth it to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and just relax to enjoy nature.

Stunning mountain scenery, very peaceful milk, tea and coffee provided on arrival Hot tub, very enjoyable once it got going. the whatsapp line was answered promptly when we had a query Driving from Cape Town we took the N1 via Ceres, then returned on the N7 via the Middelburg Pass which involved a 29 km dirt road in reasonable condition

We should have been warned that the air conditioner in unit 2 wasn't working. Our friends joined us in Unit 3 which was luckily suitable for 2 couples as it had 2 double bedrooms ensuite. We were offered the use of Unit 1 on the 2nd day but did not need it. Initially there was was no water to fill the hot tub, but once the pump was repaired, we were helped to fill it and get the wood burner going.
