Great location beautiful roof top terrace with an amazing views!

Great location in the heart of the old town. Modern furnishings, good storage, good AC, large bathroom with large counter. Very clean. Helpful host. Located on the tourist walking route and only 20 meters from a red bus stop (circulates from the station through the old town). Free tickets to the adjacent Casa Grotta and the Sassi in Miniatura were provided by the host.

Only downside to the room itself was the bed which has a frame that extends out from the mattress and makes stubbing your toes a frequent and painful event. The hotel is in a pedestrian only zone, which is good, but cannot be reached using Google Maps. It should have been a 15 minute walk, but we walked in circles for 2 hours with our bags and finally took a taxi. The directions provided by the host were insufficient. It would have been helpful if he had provided us with a map with the walking route shown, or told us about the city bus. No breakfast is provided and the only nearby cafe doesn’t open until 9:00 am, so you have to walk 10 minutes uphill to a cafe in the piazza.

Everything. The location could not be better. The host explained all we needed to know in detail. Views from the terrace were exceptional

It had a great location and the rooftop was an amazing place to spend an evening soaking in the beautiful surroundings

Fabulously located modernised apartment in the main street of this very old part of town. Clean and tidy accommodation with a mezzanine floor above the main bed to sleep another 2 people. Nice bathroom with comp toiletries. Quiet street with several good restaurants and bars on the same street, which was great. Good-sized roof terrace via several steep steps, but don't be scared of the steps - that's what with town is all about! Owners were very helpful and nice, and also owned the miniature shop opposite.

The roof terrace was shared with another apartment, which would have been OK, but as we were enjoying the peace, the other family came up and started to play music (without checking), which was a bit odd. But to be honest, there is so much outdoor space elsewhere, I probably wouldn't worry too much about using it unless I was there for longer than a few nights

Could do with a bigger coffee maker, hard to make coffee for two in that tiny pot for one espresso. Also provide, salt, pepper perhaps.

Let me start off by saying that Enrique was the absolute best and so sweet and kind! He helped my husband and I with local recommendations of the best restaurants, what local cuisine we must try, etc. Everything in the pictures and as described in the listing was very accurate. The Terrace view was breathaking! My Husband and I were in awe of Matera's beauty. Also Enrique was so great, he helped my husband and I find a last minute taxi to the bus station to head back to Bari (so make sure you call to schedule ahead of time!). Definitely would recommend and would come here again as Enrique and Matera were just so wonderful!

To be honest, I did not find anything wrong with this place! My husband and I truly enjoyed everything!
