Guesthouse Fuki Juku

This was a true highlight of our 12-day trip to Japan, among visiting many different places. Amazing hosts, a wonderful house, beautiful nature like we have never seen before, magic temples and an onsen where you feel you can make the time stop. :) Big thanks to Tomo for the special day being our guide and showing us all these wonderful places, and to Akemi for taking such an exceptional care of us all. I mentioned that we would be coming for my parents’ 50-year wedding anniversary and Akemi made a fantastic cake to congratulate them. We do travel a lot but this was truly our best experience above all, and the best taste of Japan we got.

A calm and lovely remote place. The hosts gave us a warm welcome and drove us to their village from the train station. The dinner and breakfast prepared with local ingredients were amazingly tasty and top the best places we could try in Osaka earlier. They also propose guided tours of the nearby prefectures important places (religious, historical, sightseeing), often out of the touristic usual suggestions, and with nice explanations and remarks.

Honnestly, even if I wanted to be pickky, I could not find any bad things to report or say to warn future interested guests. If you are hesitating, go for it.

On top of all, the hosts were amazing and so nice. the village is very quiet and gives you a view of a different side of Japan. Also, the food is absolutely amazing. Best meals I had in japan.

It's situated in a small village in the mountains and the enviroment was fabulous especially for those who wish to taste Japanese rural life style. Host couple was nice and hospitable. Food was tasty and local.

There isn't anything I don't like.

Breakfast was great. Owners were so kind and friendly. They picked us up from Koyasan and they went out of their way to drop us off to the train station so that we don't miss the train. We were very appreciative for what they've done for us.

All was just perfect - house with vintage touch, my room with tatami floor and futon bed, bath, very delicious food, mountain views and enormous hospitality of hosts! Enjoyed staying here a lot!

the stay is beautifully and carefully decorated and equipped by what can only be described as the most charming hosts ever! being on public transport they arranged for pickup and delivery, the homecooked meal was outstanding, the hospitality an 11 out of 10!!! The location is remote, but that’s obvious and the area stunning
