"È un'esperienza da fare in Giappone"

10.0

Consiglio di ascoltare "Element of Nature" e "Komachi".

"Great traditional property and a joy to experience."

8.0

Lovely traditional house with lots of character and a great sound system! Great village with a charming restaurant serving possibly the best ramen and certainly the best value ramen we ate in Japan. Host was extremely helpful and a joy to meet.

Can’t think of anything.

"Fabulous experience. Beautiful house and very nice hosts"

10.0

This guest house is a miracle and fabulous experience, especially for those who want to experience traditional Japanese house. The hosts are very nice people. They welcomed our family and also offered us a ride to Magome for our Nakashendo walk. The house is 120 years old and an example of japanese carpenters’ craftmenship. We all slept on very comfortable futons. Owner Assi-san also offered us a ride in the morning to Onigiri restaurant to buy a breakfast. One of our best stays in Japan.

"A lovely traditional house and an outstanding host"

10.0

A lovely old traditional house, beautifully renovated. Heaps of space, really comfortable with a great location in the town. The host is really friendly and helpful and made our stay very enjoyable. He helped us out with transport and food recommendations, organised luggage transfer for us and dropped us where we needed to be on our last day. A great bonus was the record player and a few records to spin in the evening!

"Superb"

9.0

We had the full house to ourselves. The host was super friendly and waited for us when we arrived. The house has a beautiful zen garden, as well as a comfortable and pleasant kitchen and 2 living rooms. We slept on tatamis and very comfortable futons and the entire stay was wonderful. Our host recommended a great restaurant not far from the house that , too, was very special and memorable. Overall - we really enjoyed the stay!!

"One of the most beautiful and peaceful places we have ever had the pleasure of stayiny"

10.0

The property is absolutely gorgeous, the home has been beautifully restored by the wonderful owner. The views out the back windows overlooking the lush garden and canyon bellow are breathtaking, especially with a hot cup of coffee at sunrise. The Beds and bedding were very comfortable and the traditional style bathroom with deep soaking tub was the respite we needed after a long day hiking the old Nakasendo trail. The property owner was so kind meeting us and showing us around and getting to know us a bit, he speaks great english, he also helped us find great dinner spot in a town with few options. The guesthouse is equipped with a record player and cd player with a wonderful variety of musical styles and genres. Needless to say we loved our stay and look forward to staying again when we come back to do the entire length of the Nakasendo trail.
