Lulworth Lodge

We recently stayed at Lulworth Lodge and, first and foremost, the staff were absolutely wonderful. Every member of the team we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and couldn't have done any more for us during our stay. Especially Edward, who offered usnanlate check-out, as we had booked the Sauna. The hotel itself is in a fantastic location, with beautiful views, and the food was excellent throughout. Ironically, after a previous night's stay elsewhere where noise between rooms was a major issue, we thought we'd struck gold when we were allocated Room 12, tucked away at the very back of the hotel. We assumed we'd finally get a peaceful night's sleep, far removed from the tourists and activity at the front. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Once again, noise travelling between rooms proved to be a problem. At 6:00am, we were awoken by next door their loud TV, and also them repeatedly clicking their fingers, and coughing. Perhaps it's just bad luck on our part! None of this is the fault of the hotel, of course, but it does highlight how much sound seems to travel between rooms. The whole point of coming away is to relax, switch off, and recuperate. Sadly, that becomes rather difficult when you're reminded that other human beings exist. There were also a few maintenance issues with the room that detracted from the stay. The TV wasn't working, which was disappointing when trying to unwind in the evening. The extractor fan in the bathroom also didn't work, meaning that when we had a shower in the morning, the steam seemed to set off the fire alarm. The shower itself seemed to have a mind of its own. One minute the temperature was perfect, the next it was scalding hot, and moments later freezing cold, with absolutely no adjustment made at our end. There seemed to be no rhyme or reason to it. That said, the positives still outweigh the negatives.

Location, location, location , friendly staff and great food

Only issue the bed was comfortable but very squeaky.

Locatie is mooi, dicht bij de cove en de vele wandelingen. Kamer had zicht op de zee. Diner en ontbijt waren prima.

Bed was zacht en we rolden steeds naar het midden. Parkeren is op een paar minuten lopen.

Staff were attentive and friendly. Rooms super clean and breakfast and lunch very tasty.

Small double is small and difficult to walk past to get to the other side of the bed. The gentleman said it was a king size bed but its a double.

What a fabulous place to stay! The hotel and room was lovely, the food was amazing and Ellie and the team were all so welcoming, friendly and could not have been more accommodating. We took the dog who was made very welcome too, and the location is ideal for beautiful walks and is right by the sea. Perfect. Will definitely be returning!

Emplacement idéal à 2 pas de la baie. Petit déjeuner royal. 1 repas du soir pris sur place, délicieux. Chambre petite mais très jolie. Personnel très agréable
