Pondok Keladi Langkawi Guesthouse

Really nice guesthouse where you get your own private bungalow, but also a great communal area which lots of the guests chill at. Dee was a great host and helped with anything, he helped us book our trips and even gave us a tour of the surrounding area when we arrived. It was very nice to be in the surrounding nature - we saw plenty of frogs and monkeys but they were never a nuisance. Walkable to the centre in 30 mins or get a cheap taxi back easily. Our top tip is the chicken shop at the end of the road - very tasty Chicken and rice for 5 Ringgit

I liked the very homey atmosphere and the owner was very helpful. He can arrange so many things for you (motorbike, ferret tickets etc), he's reliable and fast. It has a beautiful garden, a nice outdoor sitting area and kitchen. We loved the plants, the cats and the birds around. It's very relaxed

You are almost attached to the jungle area around, so expect some 'room mates', e.g. little ants, toad, gecko. But the rooms have a nice decor and good aircon.

Beautiful location set in a nice garden with nature all around. You will enjoy a stay in nature with Squirrels, monkeys, lizards etc. The outside kitchen and terrace is nice and you are surrounded by trees , bushes ,flowers and Nature. Peaceful other than the calls to prayer at night and early morning.. Close to town although your own transport would be recommended. Taxis on grab are easily available as an alternative.. Dee was very welcoming and easy to communicate with.

The bed is very hard and not comfortable.. Lots of geckos in the house coming in from the roof. They are harmless and didn't bother me but my wife was not very happy to see them!!

Ultimate friendly host, cozy and comfortable atmosphere, perfect location - on one hand, feel like in jungles, on the other hand - close to the city, bars and restaurants. Kiities as promised - friendly and petty. The terrace is best to chill down in the evening with class of wine or right after getting back from the beach. If you need calm and relaxed leisure without crowds and reception bars - it's your best choice. With love from Uzbekistan)

A beautiful place with a quiet and garden feel. Our bungalow was very cute and the owner was absolutely amazing. He showed us around and took us to the beach, even heled us with our ferry booking to Koh Lipe and rented us a scooter. It was also nice to have common areas and a kitchen we could use to cook. Definitely worth the price of the stay!

There is a mosque near by and we could hear it from our room. It wasn't too bad with ear plugs but it may wake you up in the mornings. We had ants throughout our room which was tough for us. The owner would have done something about it when we told him but we knew we would have had to change rooms. Ended up leaving a day early because of it, but if it's taken care of, its a very lovely place to stay.

We were met by the owner who communicated with us as we were travelling over on the ferry. He welcomed us and gave us a short tour in his car around the local area which nicely set us up for exploring the island. He also arranged a hire for us and was always there to answer questions and very helpful. The gardens, communal area with fully equipped kitchen was perfect. If we visit Langkawi again, this is where we will come!

This is a real little gem of a place if you don’t want to be right in the tourist hustle and bustle of cenang but still in walking distance of everything. It’s super good value and the property in a quiet neighbour surrounded by beautiful nature. And the decoration is really lovely and eclectic. It has all the mod cons such as Wi-Fi, air con and enough hot water. There’s also a common kitchen where you can make your own breakfast ( nice when you’re travelling for longer ). If you don’t mind walking a bit it’s about 15 minutes walk to the beach and maybe 20 to the town centre. There are a few local eateries only 5minute walk up to the main road ( all very good and much more affordable than the tourist places in town). The owner is very helpful and gave a little tour in his car round town to show all the best places to eat as well as the road to the beaches. A very nice touch.

Nothing bad but would be nice if there was also instant coffee for the coffee drinkers in the kitchen . There is complimentary tea.

We rented a scooter and explored the island, Dee was so helpful and chill. He helped with planning our trip and had great recommendations. We would definitely rebook and will recommend to our friends if they ever visit. Amazing!
