Pondok Keladi Langkawi Guesthouse

Quiet location away from the strip but easy 10 min walk to the beach and less than £1 for a taxi back. Real little oasis, Dee is a superb host, so helpful and friendly. Loved the communal areas and quirky rooms .

Nothing to dislike

Pondok is a little gem of a place for those who like to be away from the crowds and close to nature. We stayed in a king room and villa. The villa is definitely worth the extra cost. Lots of space and really comfortable. The garden is home to lots of monkeys! It was amazing to see dusky monkeys up close. Dee is an amazing host! Super helpful in sorting out our onward travel arrangements and providing advice. Location wise, it is a bit of a walk to the beach area but we quite enjoyed the exercise. It is easy and cheap to get a taxi if needed. It was great to be staying in a non-touristy area and seeing locals going about their daily life. There are good restaurants and a launderette nearby. We will definitely be visiting again in the future!

Excelent stay, Dee the owner is super nice and helpfull. We recomend staying here 100%. Great AC, the garden and common area are very beautifull and relaxed outside the main town. Less than a 5 minute scooter ride to the beach.

Lovely garden, adorable host, perfect place to chill out and meet other people. The rooms are very basic but clean, you may find the odd mosquito in your room. On the morning of my departure I saw a large family of Dusk Leaf Monkeys passing by.

Nothing, everything was perfect. I wish I had stayed longer.

The Guesthouse is really cozy. The beds are comfy and everything is clean. We loved the surroundings and the shared area to hang out and meet new people. There are restaurants nearby and you can walk to the main part of Langkawi with a lot of restaurants and 2 beaches. You can also rent a scooter and explore the nature of Langkawi. Dee (the host) is amazing, fun and really helpful. We had a great time at Pondok Keladi and would definitely recommend to stay here.

Everything was fine!

Wonderful host, very welcoming, kind and knowledgeable about places to visit. Also, sorted out scooter hire for us and a kayaking tour of the mangroves. Rooms are a really nice size, good aircon and fan, and nice to have a fridge in the room. Lovely location, with wildlife surrounding it: dusky leaf monkeys, monitor lizards, colugos, hornbills and tons of frogs! Nice that’s it’s back from the main road, although not too far from the beach and restaurants, lots of nice cats too! Also, nice common area in middle with a kitchen with drinking water and sofas and tables. Would definitely stay here again if back in Langkawi!!

It’s a quaint property with chalets/homestays in the midst of a Malay kampung. Strategically located close to Cenang and Pantai Tengah. If you’re looking for a quiet and peaceful place to stay, this would be it.
