Haus Estrella

I had to spend 13 nights and my budget was limited: Haus Estrella was the perfect choice. Nice, new, bright modern rooms with a very comfortable bed. Good sound insulation. Nice bathroom with high quality of toiletries and a real hairdryer. The owner and staff are very kind and friendly (very important if you have to stay long time in the same place). I dined pretty often in the the Gusto Trattoria Toscana (that belongs to the same owner) and it’s one of the best in town. Good Italian food! Radolfzell has problems with internet connection, however, Haus Estrella has three different lines to assure as much as possible a connection to the guests. The owner is not a polyglot, but he manages. However, not a problem if you are Italian!

Radolfzell has problems with internet connection. Maybe a little electric kettle in each room instead of the one in the hallway. Besides that everything was just great!

The host was rude when we arrived and continued to be so. Whilst I was checking in (after a very long day cycling) he broke off to take 2 phone calls then was very terse. The location of the accommodation is in a very ugly area and the room is bland and functional. It was very expensive for what you get. No breakfast and no tea or coffee. The Internet didn't work, the bathroom door didn't open properly and, when the toilet was flushed the water sprayed all over your feet. Horrible!

Secure garage spaces for bikes and close to the Bodensee bike route. Check in is at the pub next door. Little English spoken, but a friendly welcome. The room was large and perfectly clean and modern, but no outlook.

Although the property is signed, the signs are small. I managed to cycle past without noticing. Note that the check in is signed separately. No breakfast is available, but there is a nice bakery with indoor and outdoor seating close by, serving coffee, pastry etc. Turn right and cross at the roundabout. The bakery is just at the other side of the roundabout opening at 7am.

Near by in a supermarket is a little coffee shop with very good quality. There I took my breakfast!

I went on a night hike with my son. So I brought some earth crumbs into the room. I wanted to sweep it up but I was missing a small broom and a small dustpan.
