McLeod's & Stuart's Cottage

The hosts were great and the cottage has everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The cottage is also centrally located.

This was by far one of my best stays in Cape Town. Before staying here, I spent 2 nights at a “luxury” hotel, which had absolutely nothing on this cute little cottage. Everything you need is there. The kitchen is very well equipped. I prepared us some lovely meals and there’s a dishwasher. The spacious bathroom has soft, clean towels. The bed gave us a comfortable sleep. The bedding was great and smelled so fresh and clean. The sofa was comfortable too. The location is amazing and you can be at Somerset mall in under 10 minutes. I loved coming back here after a long day of driving and adventure outside. My 3-year-old daughter loved the garden and spent quite a bit of time outside. Elmarie is the type of woman I could’ve spent all day talking to. She kindly provided us with a candle for the table which we used every day for breakfast and dinner. I booked 2 nights and extended to a third which was well received by Gianluca. Thank you both for your kindness during a somewhat difficult time for me. I highly recommend this cottage and hope to be back next year.

There was nothing I didn’t like and I have no complaints or issues.

It was a quiet and nice place. We were nicely welcomed. It was clean. A good size garden if you come with children. Nice kitchen and a nice bathroom.

The terrace was not covered, so there was days that we couldn't do our BBQ or even just sit outside to chill during rainy days. The quantity of hot water is a little bit just for 4 person.

Loved the little touches like fresh milk in the fridge, a selection of fresh fruit, shortbread and biscuits. We also really enjoyed playing the board games available. And the dishwasher is a winner. Who wants to do dishes on holiday.

Everything was wonderful, the fulled kitted out kitchen was lovely, the space was nice and big, absolutely loved the outside area!

We’ve stayed at McLeod’s Cottage before, and returned this time again, because we absolutely love this place! It’s a little home away from home. The private little garden is great for the kids to play. Everything inside the cottage is comfortable, beautiful and clean. Elmarie is also such welcoming and accommodating host, and can’t thank her enough for her hospitality! Thank you!

The internet can be a bit patchy but everything else is so perfect it’s not really worth complaining about.
