I stayed at Red Stone Guesthouse with my 6 year old daughter for 2 nights. All the guest rooms are on the first floor above the family home. We had the triple room with the ensuite and it was just as described - we tested out all of the beds! The room was huge and airy. It was the only time we felt a (very slight) chill in our August Georgia trip but there was an oil filled radiator which we used ever so briefly. The bathroom was great - and big bottles of Dove shampoo and body wash. There is a nice shared living room style space and a shared balcony with some awesome views. My daughter enjoyed meeting a young girl, part of the family, who was visiting. The highlight was probably the very warm welcome and the breakfasts. The family was suffering the death of a family member when we visited - we lit a candle for them in the Gergeti church when we visited it the next day. Consistently, despite this, we were met with smiles and amazing hospitality. We were able to use the fridge in the kitchen downstairs to store medication and milk. During our stay we visited the Gergeti Trinity Church (we took a Bolt who ended up waiting for us and ferrying us to the Pansheti open air "swimming pool" - a fun, funny and bracing experience - and lunch at Rooms Kazebi). If you were hiking to the church, this takes 2-3 hours and Red Stone would be a great place to start from as you're already on your way. Finally, there is a really homely restaurant around the corner from Red Stone called "Wine House" or "სახლი - House" where they do BBQ and traditional Georgian cuisine (walking downhill towards and on the left) - this is a super convenient place to eat near the guest house.

There was nothing we didn't like but a few pointers. We came by car so got dropped right at the door but if you are coming by bus into the centre of town it is a bit of a steep walk up, especially if you have heavy bags. The guesthouse is officially in "Gergeti" - you basically head out of Kazbegi, across a bridge, then up a steep hill. Obviously, this is good exercise but don't forget Bolt is very available/cheap and will make life easier. The Spar supermarket is right in the centre of town where the bus would drop you and where the taxis congregate.

Ich hatte ein sehr schönes großes Zimmer. Die Einrichtung ist geschmackvoll und gemütlich mit viel Pflanzen. Es befindet sich ein großes Balkon mit einer tollen Aussicht auf die Berge und auf Stephansminder. Liegt in Gergeti am Berg. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und frisch zubereitet. Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Inhaber. Würde ich sofort wieder hingehen.

Location perfetta per la partenza dei trekking verso il ghiacciaio. Colazione ottima. Host gentilissima.
