"Agradecidos y contentos"

"Indulge your champagne taste on a beer budget!"

10.0

Not only is this a historical building but it is lovingly restored to a high quality. If attention to detail is important to you -- such as nice light fixtures and impeccable stone work -- this place is for you. The rooms are simple yet high quality. The ambiance is quiet and serious -- like a museum. Art exhibits were in the converted chapel, and a museum located in the central courtyard (covered) outlines the contributions of the Catholic Church to the humanities and sciences (informative but in Spanish only). We stayed here during a heat wave in August and yet the accommodations were pleasantly cool. Wifi is not in the room -- but that did not bother us. The showers were large, linens were crisp and clean, the breakfast (included) was full -- eggs, coffee, juice, fresh fruits, granola, bread, pastries, cold cuts. For the price our stay was exceptional. There is a reading room and plenty of spaces outside to chill and have a drink (full bar). We visited the nearby Yecla Gorge and the Santo Domingo do Silos monastery. I would go back in a heartbeat in less extreme weather to enjoy the countryside and the quiet of the converted convent.

I liked everything.
