Posada Real Convento San Francisco

Surprisingly modern interior within the ruins of an old convent. Spacious, well fitted out rooms ( and bathroom with walk in shower). Large towels. Comfortable bed. Free outdoor parking. Friendly, helpful , reception and cafeteria staff. A la carte dinner. Buffet breakfast with fruit, eggs and continental all available Nice, quiet location about 500 metres outside town centre. No TV or wi-fi in bedrooms great! Great value for money. Radiators in room and bathroom

At breakfast, toast was inedible, as bread was extremely hard.

They served a nice selection of options for a light evening meal. The comfort of the rooms was excellent except for the lack of WiFi. The building was an old monastery beautifully restored. The staff was charming.

The breakfast was well presented but there was a more limited selection of items than one would expect for a hotel of this class. Some fresh breads, ham and cheese would have been welcome. There was no WiFi in the rooms and the WiFi in the one common room was not that strong. Since I need WiFi to use my computer or make phone calls that was difficult. There is no convenient place to do work- the wifi room doesn’t have a desk.

Helpful and friendly reception. Pristine room with beautiful view over the nearby countryside. Extensive free parking.

Limited dining options - essentially bar meals

Beautifully restored ancient monastery. Only a small number of guests, so staff were very attentive. It is about a 15 minute walk from the village where there is an active Cistercian Monastery, which must be visited if you can.
