Absolutely great experience for my partner and me, who were there for just a day. The hosts were excellent & planned everything for us, couldn't ask for anything more to make our trip to Positano memorable & incredible.

We were charmed by the city, the views and the place by the minute we got there, but Alberto took our trip to the next level with the best recs and the way we felt taken care of at his hotel.

Absolutely everything - from the moment we arrived we were made feel so welcome, Alberto carried our bags to our room and Enza explained everything to us in great detail. The room was really beautiful and had a terrace with stunning views. The gardens were extremely well tended and Enza even explained all the plants to us. We had breakfast on two mornings, the first time it was brought to our terrace and was delicious with homemade jams, olive oils, wide selection of teas etc. Unfortunately, the second morning it rained but we dined in the indoor kitchen which was equally lovely. Only 5 minutes walk from the property are a couple of restaurants and a well stocked mini-market. We descended the ‘1000’ steps to Positano but weren’t brave enough to come back up. Instead we took the bus which is not for the faint hearted! We would love to return to Petrea again. Nothing was too much trouble for Enza and Alberto.

No complaints but be mindful the rooms are only accessible by stone steps, which was fine for us but might not suit everyone

What truly sets it apart is the breathtaking view of the Tyrrhenian Sea from the balcony — it felt like waking up in a dream. We enjoyed a delicious organic breakfast each morning overlooking the sea, which was unforgettable. Alberto, the host was incredibly kind and helpful, making our stay even more special. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful and luxurious escape in Positano!

We stayed at Hotel Petrea during our honeymoon, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. Beyond the stunning scenery of the Amalfi Coast, the warmth and hospitality of Enza and Alberto made all the difference. From the moment we arrived, they went above and beyond to ensure we had the most wonderful stay. Highlights of our stay: • Rooms: Beautifully decorated, fully equipped, and incredibly comfortable. The shower was fantastic, with multiple settings and high-quality, well-selected amenities. • Activities nearby: Excellent restaurants, a local market, scooter rentals, and a scenic path to the beach with stunning views. • Safety: The property felt very secure, with cameras and restricted access, providing peace of mind. • Accessibility: Easy to get around on foot, with nearby stairs to explore the area and a bus stop right next to the property. Enza and Alberto were incredibly helpful in explaining how the buses worked, including schedules and routes. • Food and drinks: A true highlight of the trip! One of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve ever had, with everything prepared fresh and with great care. Their homemade wines and olive oils were also exceptional. • Outstanding hospitality: Enza and Alberto’s warmth and attention to detail made all the difference. They guided us before our arrival to make access easy, provided maps and local recommendations, and ensured we felt cared for every step of the way.

This is a wonderful place with beautiful scenery, charming houses and a warm-hearted couple. Everywhere we can feel their dedication and love. We will come back!

This hotel was an absolute dream. Alberto gave us the warmest welcome, helped us park, and carried all our luggage down the many steps to our room – just amazing! He shared great tips about Positano, from using the bus to the best restaurants. The room was modern, spotless, and the sea view was simply breathtaking. Breakfast on the balcony with a sea view – personally served by Alberto. We felt completely at home and would come back in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!
