Cyclo No Ie

If you are going to bike the shimanami kaido from imabari to onomichi this is the place you want to sleep in. It's right by a few bike rental shops and the bus station that leaves you off when arriving to imabari. The staff is friendly and helpful and the place is cozy, comfortable, clean, the rooms have ac and beds have curtains to close for no light.

Personnel adorable

Very close by to the train station and short walk to city centre. It was nice to be able to do some (paid) laundry after cycling from Onomichi and not have to take back sweaty clothes. The staff were very accommodating and provided useful information about the area and gave some restaurant recommendations. Rental towels and laundry detergent were available for a couple hundred yen each. A women's only shower cubicle and toilet are also provided. The shared common room area included a shared fridge, kettle and toaster oven.

The showers had okay pressure and temperature.

The second I arrived, I felt so welcomed. Massa was there to greet me and directly explained all I needed to know about the neighborhood. I had just finished Shimanami route. Ryo showed me to my room and gave good explanations about the room, bathrooms, the restaurants in the neighbourhood. Massa and Ryo also both helped with the bus schedules and the best way for me to get where I needed to. We had lovely chats with them and another guest. The common room is also very cosy, there is free tea, coffee, you can cook if you want, there is a fridge, microwave and small oven. You can do your laundry too. The beds are super comfy. Everything is clean, and it’s a quiet hostel. Perfectly located, just next to the train station and the bus stop with plenty of restaurants around.
