Ashita no Mori

The dinner and breakfast provided were lovely. The family running the accommodation were very friendly and welcoming. We liked the private onsen and the close proximity to the river with hot pools.

We don't have much to complain about, it was a lovely place to stay after a day of hiking.

Het personeel was heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het eten was heerlijk. En de kamers en de onsen waren precies wat je nodig had na een dag lopen op de Kumano Kodo.

This was an amazing wooden cabin style hotel/bed and breakfast built with wood from over 100 years ago. It had a wonderful natural hot spring onsen inside and outside along the river! It was the most unique experience I’ve had for an onsen stay in Japan! The staff was incredibly welcome and had a great breakfast in the morning. The facilities were shared but were very clean.

Be aware they close th doors for curfew at 10pm. It’s not a problem just be sure to be back to to the hotel by doors closing time.

Staff was incredibly polite and helpful. Location was spectacular, right outside public natural Onsen. They also had a private Onsen in the accommodation which was very convenient. Food delicious, everything clean.

Dryer did not properly dry our clothes and we had to hang them. It also rained so it took 24h for our clothes to be fully dry.
