Terra Vivaz - Ribeira Cottage

Cleanliness, beautiful property and feeling of safety.

Occasionally you could hear a dog barking excessively for a period of time but it was a small price to pay for how much we appreciated the place.

Such a beautiful space with beautiful surroundings. So peaceful and quiet. We appreciated the onsite free parking. A 20 min walk into town - but very direct, and a quiet walk. We appreciated the tea and coffee left for us!

The apartment is clean and cosy and has blackout curtains and fly screens (for windows and doors) which we appreciated. Furthermore there is a nice private terrace and shared garden. We didn't meet João in person, but communication via Booking went very smoothly. Also the self check-in is very easy. As for parking: there are a few places in the driveway, but there also is a convenient public parking space nearby where we parked our car every night. The apartment is located in a quiet street, but is still pretty close to the city center (1.5km - 2km) where you can find all necessary supermarkets, restaurants, ... And it's also located quite central on São Miguel which makes it the ideal base to explore the entire island.

You can hear the neighbours in the adjoining apartment a little bit, but as they were quiet people, it didn't bother us at all. It's rather small, but as you'll be outdoors most of the time, this shouldn't be an issue either.

Beautiful location, very quiet at night and private even with others staying on the same property. The hosts are very friendly and super helpful.

Beds were quite hard. Possibly a pro for some, just different than what we are accustomed to.

The place is lovely with a quiet neighborhood. Walking distance to the beach. The owners of the house are kind and helpful. I felt very welcome and like at home

Very welcoming hosts and helpful. There was a good guest book to find good places around the house and island. The offered breakfast for extra money but it was very poor. Parking is very easy.

The beds are really old and uncomfortable. There is a lot of glass but curtains need to be closed all the time because other guests are passing in front of your window. To get to the house you need to pass another house that has a old damp smell. No places at walking distance. You need to have a car.
