In a rare move, I somehow double booked two places in Matera for 2 nights. I looked at both and chose the other in a much more central location in the heart of the Sassi. The place we stayed compared to Loggia (no need to reference) was actually in the rocks, much larger, and had amenities of a small bar and a delicious breakfast… most importantly was fully staffed… for a similar price! What I appreciated about Loggia… they only charged me for my first night which honestly I did not reach out until that first evening. They were very accommodating for that and were good hosts.

Great location! Easy to explore Matera and ideal spot to get in/out to wander. Close to recommended restaurants - host was fantastic. Very clean and easy set up with directions. Breakfast and treats were fantastic! Highly recommend!

Exceptional! Location is stunning, the rooms are clean and comfortable. Rossana, the owner, couldn’t have been more gracious or caring during our stay. She provided lots of information about things to do and suggestions to make our stay memorable. We were in Italy for 3 weeks and stayed in 7 different Types of accommodations, however, Loggia Delle Stelle was by far the favorite! Thank you Rossana for a wonderful stay. I hope to return to Matera in the future and hope to stay in your lovely guest house.

Situé directement au coeur du Sasso Barisano, propre, déjeuner varié et copieux. Hôte disponible et aux petits soins.

Je recommande pour l’expérience de vivre dans un logement situé dans Sasso, mais pour un court séjour, car il faut savoir que l’espace du logement Sirio est petit et que la lumière naturelle ne vient que de la porte d’entrée suivant les heures de la journée (comme dans bien des logements sur place).
