Kongkeo Guesthouse

Arrived really late as the bus from Luang Prabang was 5.5 hours late. Mr Kongs daughter opened gate for me at about 12.30 in the morning very little fuss, was friendly and guided me to a room. Very grateful for that Hired a scooter to see Plain of Jars Site. I could see Mr Kong was changing oil on bikes, doing maintenance. As an engineer I could see bikes are being maintained well. Bus ride onward to Vang Veing sorted. A great overall experience. They will adapt for your stay providing full on tours or enable you to be a bit more independent

Fun family atmosphere. Great sitting by the fire at night. The rooms and garden are great. Kong and his family are lovely and Kong’s guided tour of the 3 jar sites was unforgettable!

clean room, close to shops and restaurants. Kong was very helpful

woken up every morning by cockerel and dog whining directly outside the rooms. couldn't turn fan off oscillation mode which made a clicking sound every turn so found it hard to sleep

Kongkeo feels like a home away from home! The owner, Kong, took us and some other travellers to a local wedding the first night we arrived. It was so much fun! He had a lovely communal fire pit and there are always cold beers in the fridge. The rooms are really comfortable. We extended our stay here and it was just lovely, all around!
